Best place to get Auto rebuild kits?

Hey all,

I'm currently looking to get a beefy rebuild kit for an AODE. Anyone recommend a certain kit (Art Carr, Lentech, etc.) or place to get one? I'm looking for the upgraded clutches, shaft, Valve Body, Torque Converter, etc.....

Check out TransmissionCenter.net or Bulkpart.com They have good prices for the regualar joe like us. Thier kits also include everything you need to completely overhual the tranny. I presonaly think you do not have to order the steel plates. When I order from Bulkpart for "performance" stuff, I just get the rubber seal kit/bushing kit/ALTO complete clutch kit/Shift kit - this is the cheapest route and gets you EXACXTLY what you need and nothing you do not.

If you want even cheaper, just by the master overhual kit w/o steels for $100. The OEM clutches are good up to 350hp IMHO.

Don't forget a converter though....



Oh yea.....reason i say get it from these companies is becuase IT IS THE SAME F'ING THING THE BIG NAME COMPANIES WILL SELL YOU FOR 2 TIMES AS MUCH.......believe me. I built a LENTECH street Terminator from the Lentech kit they sell for a freind, then turned around and built my AOD the same beefyness for 1/2 money. He was pissed.
