Sorry, don't have an answer for you, but I do have a question. What size wheels are you thinking of getting? Also, do you know how much the wheel weighs? I'm going to get something similar for my car in 17's. I'm considering either the Vintage Wheels or the Ford Bullitt style. Tire Rack has the 17" Bullitts for $145 ea and according to them, they weigh 22lbs, which is not bad.

Call up vintage wheel works and ask if they have any cosmetically blemished versions of the wheels you want. They had a big sale a year or two ago with those, I got a set of v48s for I think it was about 300$ off the list price.... was a while ago and my receipts are all packed up... it's an idea.
Only thing wrong with mine were some spots on the grey part, and I was gonna paint them argent silver anyways to look more like minilites so it worked out.

aye, VintageWheelWorks sells "blemished" sets for 750? i think...which is 250 cheaper or something. Thats what I did. Since my car isn't really gonna be a show car or trailer queen...i knew i'd get marks on them someway, so blemished worked out for me.

Vintagewheelworks are pretty helpful aswell, i emailed them several times back and forth. :) good company from my experience.

but if u want perfect looking ones i reckon everyone who sells them are gonna be around the same price i'm guessing. check out www.streetortrack.com think they have sets for $980.... the 16x8 ones at least :D maybe there's also some on ebay :P never know

I just looked a few days ago and they have blemished V48s for about $650/set. Too bad they dont have 15x7 V48s for someone like me.

I got a set of blemished Vintage 45s, 16x8 with a 4.5 BS from VWW for $650. I cannot really tell where they are blemished. And even if I were to have ordered a set in perfect condition, they certainly would not have remained that way for long.

I bought my Series 50 from Delta Bay http://www.deltabaymustang.com/

They had the best price I could find. I am not what one would call a happy customer of Vintage Wheel Works. I ordered my wheels about a year ago and due to delays in the restoration never needed them until this spring. I opened the boxes and found scratches in the sand cast area between the spokes of the wheels. I contacted Vintage who agreed to take the wheels back for "inspection". They told me that yes there were some scratches but only one wheels had enough to justify replacement. I pushed this with the the on the phone, and he then asked me if I expected a perfect wheel. Well, since I didn't order blemished or seconds, yes I expected a perfect wheel.

So here I am waiting for their next shipment from overseas to arrive. Initially I was told that they would be available at the end of May, but now it looks like the end of June.
