Best QUALITY throttle body?

or buy a factory MAF and get a tune and know your maf transfer is dead on.

This is a thought I have when I see all these tb threads.

Peeps who do fox tb's talk about better throttle response.

I only ask this Q ... as again ... I don't know from experience

My understanding is the fox tb does not have the same cam open rate as the SN tb's

or in other words

The SN tb opens as a slower rate at first and gets more aggressive with the rate the farther it opens.

Perhaps some mistake that for the new found "throttle response"

Comments from those who done it would be GREAT

I had to drill out my holes for my PP throttle body as well, and I thought there was something wrong with either my car or my self-installation skills. Nice to know that I'm not an idiot! Thanks Stangnet, you've shown me the light again :SNSign:

I have the PP 75mm. I like it. I LOVE the mounting plate for the TPS. It's a great idea. I didn't have to drill any holes.....
As far as 75mm being too big, depends on your combo.
Richard Holdener's Dyno book shows situations where it IS important, Like a draw through supercharger.
Me, I don't see why you WOULDN'T get the biggest one available.
I mean why NOT. If it doesn't COST hp?

It is just a matter of practicality.

Why get a 75mm TB when throttle response differs in a negative light, and it cost more.

Why not go cheaper, same quality, plenty of flow and better throttle response?

You've got a point 5spd GT. Wide open, I can tell you the car feels more powerful than the 65mm (to me) but to some of us, like me, we can be particular to throttle feel and the FRPP was better in that respect.

So does anyone know how the THROTTLE feel of bbk compares to the FRPP? Is the edlebrock the same as the bbk?

I like the Ford racing 65mm if you stay with the SN95 elbow on the intake.It is of the same quality as an OEM and looks stock. I switched to the fox setup...so accufab (75mm) all the way. I made over 300 rwhp with a 65mm Ford TB and I am sure it was nowhere near topped out.

The Professional Product TB makes the underhood look 100 X better than the FRPP 65mm though, lol...give and take..

It had nothing to do with the opening of the snout it was the built in EGR not letting more CFM through like mentioned already. So if you don't have an EGR you solved half the problem, the other problem is some how shoving 800+CFM through an intake that can't support that.

I liked mine 75mm BBK TB , it have same throttle response if not better than stock one , but its on mine setup so yours my be different
