Best Shift Kit?

Like the title says....what would you guys recommend when it comes to shift kits. Transgo, etc, etc.... Im tired of the transmission "slippage" when shifting into gear. I want it to shift a little harder. Are there any down sides to a shift kit...i know that it helps increase the tranny life too so im all for it. What about price range for installation. Thanks.

Do a search for the "Jerry mod". I regret not doing it instead of th TransGo shift kit. Also Jerry recommends using a chip to raise line pressure.

I bought it from a local auto parts store called Lee Auto parts for $50. You can get it from summit racing too http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=BMM-70264

It's a 24,000 GVW cooler so it cools pretty good, the 28,000 GVW model is pretty big so I didn't go with it.

Shift kits are cheap. I got a PA for $179 INSTALLED..you can get a Transgo for under $100. Dont get B&M! Coolers are cheap. I used my TwEECer to raise the line pressures.

what's wrong with b&m? I've had mine for about 4 months now and i love it. Shifts are much firmer and overall performance has increased.

It will not be bad in all cases, but I have a friend who had bad luck with 2 of them..1 AOD, and 1 AODE
