You did better than I did stock... I ran a 15.2 at 90mph with a 2.3 60'. It took me a lot of parts to get into the 14's!!!
If you were driving my car way back when, you would have done better than I did too. I barely knew what I was doing - it was all the car. Remember, these runs were made at Cecil on a Saturday morning. You know how sticky it is there on Saturdays. It was also early spring, and I had brand new Michelin Pilots (less than ~250 miles on them).

I want my Dad to drive my car now and see what numbers it turns. If we had a race to see who could get into the 11's first, he'd be there and I'd still be running 13's. I tried to get him to take the first pass (the one that I broke on) but he said "he's done with racing." I kinda wished he did break my car because he would have felt bad and fixed it by now...:D

WoW thats some low RPMS to be shifting at. My Cobra was shifting there to about 7 months ago so i had MAF cleaned and now i shift at 5800-5900 rpms and it helps out alot...

The Cobra's are a way diff story. Even with the smaller cam the heads and intake really allow those engines to pull higher. 58-5900 still seems pretty high. From what I've seen they should pull strong to 54-5500 which is still considerably higher than GT's do.

Tell me about Paul, I was pissed on how much parts and I money put in my Vert and I got from stock 15.1@89 to 14.8@93 with 2.4 60 ft

Hey joe, i'm sitting here reading through some posts and I noticed you were from delaware. So am I, what part are you from? I'm near newark/bear area.

Anyway, in my opinion from a lot of dynocharts in the magazines the 5.0s make their peak power around 5500rpm. I personally shift at 5200 or 5400. But I haven't got a chance to get to the track ever since I got my car, so I don't know how well my method works. Lol
