I spoke with a guy in a Mach 1 this weekend that had single chanmber flowmasters with cats and an H pipe….sounded awesome. Should I go Bassani? I hear these referenced as exotic sounding. Other opinions?

I think the stock exhaust is too tame.

Oh yeah, one last thing, I want a fairly low rumble (drone) on the highway yet screens when opened up.

Exhaust note and sound is sooo personal. Some like one thing others like another. Since you have the center exhaust the Bassani x with two stainless cats sounds like no other mustang. You can still tell it is a Mustang but sounds a little more exotic without giving away all the rumble.

I would also go with the Bassani catted x-pipe....keep the cats, keep the air clean.The high flow cats won't really hurt your performance.

I'd say bassani catted X-pipe (stainless not Bx series), and their midlength headers would be unreal. The cats are definitly high flow design and easy to swap in straight pipes if desired (the extra straight pipe pieces are included and can be swapped with just a few small turns of a wrench).
