Best way to get my Mustang's headlights to look like this?

I have the non-smoked headlights on my GT, and wanted to go for something like this:

How can I go about doing this without having to purchase new headlights? Is there and kind of film or tint I can use? Thanks in advance.

You can "smoke" them.. A body guy around here has done a few lights that way.. I think you miix up some black paint with clear the paint and you shoot the insides of the linses. Prolly wouldnt be the best idea for headlights tho- they turn out pretty dark.

Well, you don't want to use paint, because it will cover the lens and you will not be able to get light through it. Buy some spray on window tint. MY friend sprayed it on his H/L and T/L's on his Grand Cherokee and thye look good...and you can see them perfect at night, he has not been pulled over.

Hmm... The films are more expensive ($60 for front pair, $60 for rear pair). The spray, on the other hand, is about $10 for a can. What do you guys recommend? I really don't want to buy new headlights, as even the smoked ones won't be as dark as the picture shown above.

the film is reusable so if you get a ticket, just peel it off... put it on only at carshows...

The spray only looks good if done right imo, have it done professionally if you don't think you can hack it or you will end up buying a new set of lights for 200ish

Don't even mess with the spray on tint...especially with your headlights. It's tricky to make it look really good. If you want some really good looking smoked headlights, just buy them on ebay. The quality is much better than the "do it yourself" spray on paint or the vinyl tint.

Alright, I guess I'll just save up and buy some headlights. I don't want to ruin the stock ones with spray tint.

I have some real good 3M stuff that you can remove if a cop pulls you over ( happened to the previous owner at night) It goes on with soap and water and can be removed and added back on at a later time. You can use both high and low beams without any problems and they shine though perfectly. They feel like a vinyl material and are made by3M I believe. Just don't buy those plastic covers, and if you use a spray tint, you might wanna check out and make sure its legal, or they will ticket you. This stuff is easy to install and remove at any time and fits perfectly.

ive had smoked headlights and my rear tails blacked out with night shades for months with no problems from the cops.

I dont think they care?
