Hey all, I was wanting to make my plenum and exhaust tips brushed to match my icebox/cai/MAF. Its chrome or polished now but has pits and spots on it and I think it would look better and match nicer if it was brushed but I dont wana mess it up. BTW, its an Accufab plenum/t-body that connects to the blowers inlet. The tips are just the standard Flowmaster ones.
Do I just use a Scotch Brite pad or what? I am planning on a brushed rad resivoir too so it will all tie in nicely

scotchbrite or steel wool, keep it in back and forth motions to avoid making swirls in it instead of brushes

Okay, I was thinking the red one? I saw Chip Foose do it once with the red scotch brite pad. It was on paint but I figure as long as I keep it straight it should work, no?

Yup, if you were really into metal and had a shop etc... you can get a graining tool, Finishing / Re-Graining Tools Overview - Seco Engineering
