My 92 Vert has the same issues.I've tried several times but it just bogs no matter how much gas or brake I give it.I've discussed this before in threads long ago.Convertibles are just too damn heavy,and being that it has stock 2.73's,it does more cruisin than it does smokin.Lucky to get any smoke out of it less theres a bit of wet surface nearby.

Eventually i'm going to pick up a set of gears.Not sure if I want to chance 4.11's thinking that maybe it could either screw up the computer or run too high of RPM's going only 50 mph.

You could try calling them...I'd search performanceautomatics on google and go to their webpage. They're valvebodies are cheaper and are good for 450-550 horsepower get a non-locking converter and you should be able to take a lot of cars off the line.

also on PAs valvle body, it says i can hold 1 and 2 gear manually, what about 3rd? is it just changing my patter to PRND21???

And does this make the shifts crisp and firm like well shifted standard? or is it like a stock tranny and has a delay??

if there is a delay can you add a shift kit in with a VB?

if i just floor the brake and punch the gas it will just bog and not spin or either start one tire. Should i ease the gas?

Today, i was playing around and stalled up my car to like 1600(factory stall)
and let off, hit the gas to much and then BOTH actually spun and left marks.

So i went to the back roads, stalled up, let off brake, puched gas, then hit the brake again, it moved forward, but it spun, i saw some tire marks in my mirror. BUT HOW DO I GET EM SPINNING WHILE STANDING STILL???

Is my drivetrain just weak and not ready for it yet?
I want to make a big ol smoke show, i know i cant but i want to sometime.

Also, on videos you see a stang roast em really good. How much tread does this burn off.

According to your other post, your timing and engine temp may be a reason you can't break them loose easily.

PHOOEY! I have a "Bone Stock" auto vert and I can fry the hides at will. It just takes practice. Leave the trany in low "1st" and after you start to apply the gas fine tune your brake preasure, start to move forward apply more brake, start to bog down ease up on the brake. Oh, and don't just put the gas to the floor and leave it there you are trying to strike a balance between the resistance of the brakes and the power of the motor.

I second the line lock if you want to fry your tires. It will save your rear brakes as well. It really does work and its around $50 including shipping if you install it.
