Looking to put fatter tires on my 66 coupe right now it has the standard 14's they are new tires just replaced them a month ago but they are terrible on turns I have to slow almost all the way down or it feels like she will tilt over.....any suggestions....what tires do you guys have on your mustangs

first thing to do is upgrade the suspension. better sway bars, springs, shocks, bushings. you can put the best tires on a lousy handling car, and still have a lousy handling car that now has tire rub. once the chassis and suspension has been upgraded, THEN if you feel the need to put better tires on, go for it. my 66 coupe will get either a 205/65-15 or a 215/60-15 tire on all four corners, on a 15x7 wheel.

I have 245/50x15 Dunlops on all four wheels, Koni shocks and 620 springs up front. The car corners great, of course a four speed stick helps tremendously too. It's getting so boring, I'm seriously considering going back to the nostalgic drag look of 60/70 series rear tires with skinnies up front. I guess I just need a change.
