So I head out to my car this this morning to run some errands and try putting my key into my door. Wtf the key wouldn't go in. Immediately i notice the lock was bent to **** from being punched with a screwdriver. I'm furious at this point!
I walk over to my neighbor who was mowing his yard. Told him about my car, then he tells me his car was broken into last night too. They left the stereo and $change, but they grabbed all sorts of paperwork. Then he tells me another neighbor cross the street had his expidition broken into (mashed their window) that night also. They grabbed everything out of that expi, but he said it looks like they where after documents. Or anything with names, titles, ssn, checkbook, credit card bills, reciepts, etc. They had hit that same house with the expi four days earlier too but broke into an accord instead. I'm usually up till 4am and didn't hear a thing. About 2 or 3 times a night I also peak outside and flick our outside lights on & off too. Hopefully this is what scared him away from entirely getting into my car. I'm a bit paranoid after my last break in. The lock was punched but didn't seem like it was opened. I'm thinking of installing one of those infare-red motion video detectors on the house. One of my neighbors down the street has 3 hidden in a birdhouse, birdfeeder, and over the garage. Cost him a $1g installed. I know radio shack sells the black and white one for $100 or so. Anyways thought'd I'd just share how my day was ruined... And to let you guys become aware of a WAVE 0F BREAK-INS by people looking to take over your identity. If you have anything with personal info in you car... REMOVE IT
BTW this is happening out in S.Graham rural burbs. Guess I'll be upgrading my pos alarm.
