just to bull**** a little my buddie was building a 383 impala and while he knew to put some rtv on the front cover, exactly how much eluded him. 500 miles later the excess rtv was stuck in the sump and the engine was toast.

another buddy installed a turbo kit on his GTP, while removing his lower intake he made sure to be careful and put a shop towel in the galley to prevent grit and grime to make its way in there, upon startup he realized what he forgot to remove and new heads and new turbo later he was ready to roll.
