looking into some new wheels and tires for my 83, obviously it's a four lug but what the absolute biggest I can go on the size? I want a lot of meat front and back

I think about the biggest tire you can on there is going to a 245/50/r15 in the back and 235/55/r15 in the front (without wheel spacers or special wheels). I think Cooper Cobra still makes a set in that size.

I would have to double check as it's been a while. This assumes OEM wheels.
