biggest tire on a stock 98gt wheel?

what is the biggest tire i can put on my factory 98 gt wheels? i was lookin at 275-40-17 kuhmo MX's. i had them on my old z28 and loved them, but the 285-40-17s are like 20 bucks a tire cheaper. i really like the way the stock wheels look and really want to change them yet, but i need tires. thanks for the help.

those will not fit on a stock rim...biggest you will get is around 255/40, and even that is pushing it.
