So I had a member of our Mustang Club (also the Meguiar's North East Rep) come to the house and detail my sisters 89 Black GT. The car was okay at best, but he took it to near new condition. He even claims the car could be show caliber if we wanted to take it to that level! Let me know how you like it!

Keep in mind the car was JUST washed in the before pictures.

Damn - came out amazing!
What Meguiar's products did he use on the car? Was it a hand clean/wax or was it buffed?

Aaron, he uses a rotary buffer with variable speeds (an RPM dial and a trigger to vary the speeds) and then a dual action polisher. The only hand use is to remove the product, all applications are done with machines.

strtrcr50, I actually have some Zaino at the house, and when I tried it, I did like how it went on and made my car look. I asked the detailer about almost every product I had in my bucket, and he gave me honest opinions. Some he liked, some he hated. He even suggested some product by other companies. Not something you would expect from a sales rep, but I commend him on that. He didn't spend the whole time trying to sell me products.

Mike, he actually would do your car. He is the northeast rep, and I can find out from him how far he will travel. He has some "needs" with the location to do a car, but nothing a good garage won't satisfy.

As for products, being the rep he has all the professional line stuff, which is what he uses. He uses a rotary buffer for the cutting creme, and then works down until he polishes and waxes with the dual action. He went as far as having us remove the wing to get under it.

He does amazing work, and said there was even more he could do on the car. The car is a summer DD that sits in the rain and sun, so we opted to stick with this level of cleaning. He can take your car to any level you want.

I will also say, his prices are damn good!

A good detailer with the right tools can do some amazing transformations. The car looks great!

Brian, are you attending the Ford show in Carlisle this year?

I agree Dave.

My friend and I were talking about it and we are definately going. I will be taking the car this year though, not the 06 again. Should have a couple more people coming as well! Lots of late night parking lot drinking again .
