I have a set of Black chrome FR500's on my GT and I was wondering if anyone hase any suggestions on what I should use to clean them. I have read that regular wheel cleaners are not good for the the finish on these wheels, should I just use car soap and water? Also I read that I should put some clear coat safe wax on them to seal and protect them pure carnuba preferably. If anyone has any suggestions and what brand of wax would be durable enough for wheels I would great appreciate the help.

The most durable was I have ever used (and I've tried LOTS) is in the Meguires HiTech line you can get at most stores. Its not cheap though. I think its number 7 or something but its called Yellow Wax. Pure carnuba. Lasts a long time.

I never seem to need any nasty cleaners on my wheels. Just soap and water. I tried several spray on wheel cleaners and they sucked.

Simple green diluted at most would be all u need. If u clean them often the you should have to worry about brake dust build up.
