Well thanks for the help guys but I just got a new tranny for $850...well a remanufactured one. It has a few little things that should make it hold my near stock power levels like nothing.
For me getting the t-5 out today was so easy. I used a jack to support the crossmember as I unbloted it and after I had the tranny unbolted from the motor I just had my girlfriend pull out the jack and I just pulled it out...the thing weighs 75lbs.....thats nothing it was so easy..
On another note the tranny has a few little goodies like hardened gears, the .68 5th, 2.95 1st, and the steel bearing retainer. It has 0 miles on it and I can't waite. I saw summit racing had the OE t-5 for about $2000 but I know for that mooney you can go tko....I'm happy and I will have the car running asap. I feel broke now dumping $1200 into lol
Not really but it will be a fun car with the new pro 5.0, kc clutch, and this fresh t-5...
