block from a mercury grand marquee

my uncle has a 90 or 91 mercury with the 5.0 . he is getting a new car and is junking the car. i was thinking about starting an engine build in the near future. would this block be an ideal candidate?

For all intensive purposes, every roller 5.0 block is pretty much equal in strength.

have you checked to see if it's actually a roller block yet? If it is it should work fine.
