OK I got my VOrtech A trim on, I put in 30 pound injectors, matching mass air meter, 70MM TB, and spacer, along with a 255 fuel pump, and FMU. I had it put on the dyno and right off of idle it's lean, and any kind of boost it starts to ping. The guys adjusted the timing but it still is lean, they told me to replace the sample tube in my Mass air meter with one that is made for #24 pound injectors. They told me it would cost me $600 for a custom chip and tune, do I screw around replacing sample tubes or just bite it and spend the coin for a full out tune. Also, I dorve it home and everytime i left off the throttle this thing whistled like someone letting air out of a ballon...wtf is that?? Any help is appriciated

I didn't do any adjustments on it while it was on the Dyno, they made all the adjustments, They know I don;t know anything about this fuel injection and stuff so I'm begining to feel like i'm being screwed with.

Your best bet would be to put the aeromotive 1:1 boost referencing regulater on it jegs PN 027-13103.it adds 1 lb of fuel per lb of boost.Dont put 24 lb meter on your car with 30 lbers. Mabey a fuel pressure gauge with an ajustable fuel regulater.

Something is not right. I am also running the A trim, with stock injectors, stock MAF, stock fuel pump, 65mm TB and the included FMU. I had absolutely no pinging problems, and I was running quite rich, with the stock tune. I did have mine dynotuned to the tune of $1K, and now she runs great, and not too rich. With all of the supporting parts you mentioned, you should be able to do away with the FMU (stock longblock assumed) altogether. You are going to need the professional tune, to get you Air-Fuel Ratios where they need to be.

i dunno what all is done to your car.. but if the motor is stock.. the a-trim will work perfect with the stock 19lb injectors and fmu.. so something is weird..
