I have a 04 gt with a P-1sc on it. Has anyone had problems with their tensioner going bad? I'm on my 3rd one now...partly because whoever installed it didnt line up the pulleys right...are there any aftermarket tensioners out there that are stronger/adjusted for this setup? Other question...gasket on the intake plenumn is starting to leak, any stronger aftermarket ones out there?

I've had the stocker on my P1SC and no problems.
Still have nice tight tension.

I'm having problems with my vortech and i think it's the tensioner. I rubbed off a rib on my belt and i know my pulleys are all inline. They make a steel tensioner that is around $143 from ford. Supposedly it doesn't bend, but I can't personally verify that.

thanks for the info baxter, ill have to look into that tensioner

In the mean time, i think i isolated the source of the problem. When they installed the serpentine belt, they ran it under the tensioner instead of over the tensioner. Everytime i had belt problems, i'd replace it the same way they had it instead of looking for the proper diagram.
