If you see anything missing and such let me know.

CNC ported 205 twisted wedge FTW

They flow better than AFR's and offer what an in-line cylinder head cant compete with, an efficient combustion chamber.

Thanks 90lxcoupe! Thing with my pistons is they have a pretty good dish so i can run any type of heads i want to, with that being said I am pretty set on a set of AFR's but i am not ruling out Trickflow yet. So thanks for you input i will keep that suggestion in mind

Twisted Wedge.......Better valve placement and angle speaks for itself. You guys can bash me all you want. AFR's are decent heads. But they are a Suped up Stock head. Nothing fancy. Just aluminum, and larger ports, and valves.

If you look at Twisted Wedges, check into a set from Total Engine Airflow. They CNC port TW's and their work is known to be of good quality. It may possibly cost a bit more than buying the fast as cast heads, but the performance advantages will probably offset the cost a little.

well good luck bro.. if I was ever going to start from scratch I'd go with virtually the same set up you are planning... your going to make some serious power.. its going to be a blast... good luck with it and get some pics/vids up of your build!

Well i guess i will get Trickflow 205's. I have been on here 5 years and what i have learned is you cant beat results.

good choice, its a very versatile head, works great on my 390rwhp motor and also is right at home making 900 rwhp.

If your going custom on the cam, dont order the heads with springs, cause chances are you'll be replacing them with ones that are reccomended by the cam grinder

I haven't been on here in a while, but this thread caught my eye, don't go any less than the 205's, I made decent power with my 185's but the time and effort I've got in the custom pushrods and the tuning and I'm not really happy with my power. Even the guys at AFR said the 185's is all you need, well my research and the hanging around the strip is bigger is better when dealing with boost, the more head and cam you have the more power you can make. I'm going to swap to a set of TFS'Rs next time, but I've got alot of things I need to do before making any more power, long story short, atleast go with some 205's. Oh I see my sig is way out of date, by like more than a year, short rundown 347 afr 185s super victor and an F1c procharger pushing 22lbs of boost.

Thanks! I talked to Gregg@TFS and we chatted for a few and i am deff deff buying Trickflow 205's. With the custom camshaft and the amount of boost 600rwhp shouldnt be a problem, also 205's give me the ability to grow with more boost, ect later.

well my research and the hanging around the strip is bigger is better when dealing with boost, the more head and cam you have the more power you can make.

:Teh-Win:

And thats what its all about Folks.......

Cant wait to get my Junk with " Too Large" heads to the Track.

Problem with most guys that run Large heads on small CID engines( N/A applications), is they Cam it much. They Figure large heads = Big Cam. To do this, you need more Cubes. My Custom Cam has some abnormal Specs. And would seem funny to some guys. Boost, you can get away with more.
