little update: Ive been in the market for a house, so the mustang progress is slow (but steady) eng bay painted, tubular k member and coilovers installed. brakes etc in the works. SN95 boost installed (PITA) and other misc items (MM Bumpsteer / CC plates etc) Its coming along! but still have alot of work ahead of me. Hard part is over! I am on the fence between Nitto DR or M/T Its mostly going to be on the street/car shows. But with the KB I need something with bite, but I dont want to be buying tires in a few hundred miles either.

Finished assembling sumped tank/pump. Waiting on the filler neck seal from Ford to install. Tires on order (went with Nitto 275DR's for practicality vs M/T ET Streets (weekend driver/strip ready) More pix to come as the engine finds its place soon enough.

...slow!! I pretty much have 90% of the parts, Ive been actively looking for a house and Ive been working long hours to be sure the down payment is there while paying off all debt to keep the picky mortgage companies happy. Needless to say, the stang has been neglected!!!
Im sure I will have more time in the next month or so to finish it up because I want to enjoy it!! Keep an eye on the thread Ill be updating more and more as the free time allows. Thanks for looking

i will definately pick one up when i'm ready to put this car back together, the sumped area box was welded on and the welds will need to be grinded down.i hope to be sandblasting the car this weekend it is a complete shell right now with no wiring at all.

sounds like a project. I wouldnt grind the welds , be sure to pressure test the tank if you sumped it yourself.

it came with a roller that i bought a few years ago it is brand new ,the only reason i wanted to grind the welds is to make sure that they will hold up when it's gassed up. how do you pressurize a tank i do own a compressor.

welds are ALOT stronger as is than ground down. Its purely cosmetic to grind welds. Like I said , you wont even see the welds, you just need to make sure they hold psi/wont leak.

You can either take it to a radiator shop or attempt to test it yourself, but it would require fabbing blockoff plates etc the filler inlet etc. This is one step you DONT want to skip, fuel leaks are bad news.

its B92P actually a honda Si color but with a hellava lot more blue pearl, I saw it on a street bike my painter painted and it swayed me from metallic blue. Looking back, I would have gone with a metallic blue with pearl or some sort of candy styled metallic. You only see the blue pearl on the black in direct sunlight or street lights, otherwise its nighthawk black.

Any closeups or pics of the paint so we can see the pearl?

id have to take one- Its somewhat hard to capture - you just kind of have to see it in person. This is why I wrote above how I would have went with a more defined mettalic rather than this "flip flop" style mettalic paint. Dont get me wrong, its looks badass in person.

Yeah, that's why I'm kinda wanting to get a feel for what it looks like - I'm getting ready to have my car painted black, but I'm not a fan of heavy metallic in black, but I kinda want a little bit of metallic.
