Ok so my car has the vortech blower on it. Keep in mind that my a/c isn't connected and the two pipes from the compressor are just vented into the air. My question is, is it normal for when deaccelerating and coming to a stop to hear a hissss sound like its coming from a compressor. Im not sure if this is the blow off valve or a/c compressor. Any ideas?

i'd have to hear it in person to tell. If you aren't going to use the A/C, why not get a A/C eliminator kit? then you won't even have to worry about the pump, plus you may pick up a couple of hp.
