I am Not sure they are needed except for SSP restorations. A good Gates hose will be fine for even HD use. There are other silicone hose kits out there if you want a color other than black and cannot find the OE blue.

The only reason Ford offered a silicone set is because there was customer demand because other manufacturers standard hoses didn't last. Ford's stock hoses lasted just fine.

At the time, it was listed as a selling point upgrade to justify the SSP price and look better than a Camaro etc. in the run offs. It was not needed.

I don't know if they are OE Ford or not. I can only go b the information on their site. The only thing I have ever ordered from them is a police fan clutch. My car has never overheated and sometimes I think it runs too cool.

Goodyear hi miler hoses are decent hoses as well, I have a set in storage
(Looking at Rock Auto for brands,) Goodyear and Gates, good, Dayco is OK, Continental should be good if it is the same as they tire company, but who knows for sure, AC Delco is blasphemy but are generally good parts, and Motorcraft should be a good part from someone else they put their sticker on. Anything less is for emergency use only, including the flex hose.
We had some reports on the silicone hose kits off eBay a few years ago. I would like to hear how they lasted.

The infamous blue silicone hoses. Those things have trouble sealing at the joints. More hassle than they are worth. The rubber hoses work better.

Im using the upper/lower and bypass hose from the kit. There was one other hose in the kit i didnt need and i cut it up to use on my fire wall to cover some
unused connections. If there is a demand for these it would be nice to see Ford bring them back.

The ford racing radiator hose kit are made of high temperature silicone. They were originally used on SSP Police mustangs. They have been discontinued and the only place that carries the 6 piece set is Performance Parts Inc, but they are $429.99 a set.

The ones listed for 429.99 they are saying are ford racing hoses and those are blue with a redish orange color on the inside. Mine are all blue.
"Police 5.0L 6-piece silicone radiator and heater hose set, functionally correct Ford Racing M-6052-B, we do have individual hoses available too!!!, Discontinued thru Ford Racing"

The ones like mine are listed below those and price says "call"
"Police 5.0L 6-piece silicone radiator and heater hose set, these are the NOS factory-production blue-on-blue style available in very limited quantities"
