So recently ive been seeing light blue smoke coming from under the hood and from my tailpipe on my 98 v6 after starting it overnight.I changed my oil the day before this started happening. Is this common? Any idea what is causing this? I used semi synthetic 5w30 .
Its around the manifold on the right side .Sometimes itll come from there and other times just through the tailpipe . Goes away after I drive down the road for a minute and wont happen again till the next morning.
The smoke around the manifold (this is the exhaust manifold right?) May be oil drippings from a seeping valve cover gasket, the tailpipe smoke may be valve seals, if it does not smoke out the tailpipe all the time I would not worry about it, watch to see if it smokes when you pull away from a traffic light after idling a couple minutes.
