Bluffing024 *OFFICIAL* 2009 NFL Thread

I dunno about the pick to the house. It could certainly happen but Brees was 34-11 TD to INT this year. That's very, very good. Peyton Manning at 33-16 (excellent) is statistically more likely to have this happen to him.

There is no question that almost anything could happen in any game (re: Eli's escape and Tyree's helmet catch). I just see the Saints as a very good team this year.

6th seed? I believe the Giants were 6th seed in 2007. I know their regular season record was 10-6 and they had no home playoff games.

I don't know but it just seems like stuff like this happens from time to time. Big game, Big plays here and there. Who woulda thought James Harrison of all people would take one 100 yards to the house.

I kinda tend to throw stats out the window in games like these. It's both teams layin' it all out there.

Explain please.

Don't forget to show your work :D

well ofcourse there no way i can MAKE you believe my prediction. but my stance behind this is the vikings have a defense that is playing really good right now upfront. i honestly dont believe any o-line in the nfl could have stopped there pass rush last weekend. also i do believe that the vikings can put up large numbers on the saints defense aswell if the game goes in that direction. last but not least i may be just a bit biased

colts vs jets historically if peyton plays bad or gets hurried all game the colts lose. i think that this jets defense can put just enough pressure on peyton to force him into a couple mistakes and the way there secondary is on a roll right now any mistakes can and will lead to turnovers. another thing is the jets RUN the ball and i just don't think that the colts are physical enough upfront to stop them.

either way i think both games will be awesome and if the vikings win i have 2 superbowl tickets so ill be setting in florida to watch my favorite football player of all time.

I'll make you jealous and tell you I am working the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl :D Too bad I couldn't last year when my team was there.

But to your post I can totally see that happening. You bring up very good points and honestly, anyone could be right. I'm just givin my predictions. Of course you are entilted to yours. I just don't see the Jets hanging with Indy's Offense. You may be right about the running game, but you can't run the ball if you're down by 14 late

i def think that indy could blow the jets out but i just think that the jets will be able to pressure manning and keep it close and if it's close come the 4th quarter the jets have a great chance at this game.

yep i myself had my doubts but i knew he still had the arm if he could keep it together mentally which he has done a great job of. just 1 more day then we will know for sure who is playing in the superbowl

its hard for me to pull for either AFC team b/c they are both rivals of the patriots so I will base it upon this.

If maning wins this game and goes on to win the superbowl he will join an elite group of QB's w/ more then one superbowl win..including brady. The more manning accomplishes as far as his legacy the more it pulls him up to or head of brady. He's still two rings behind brady and does not hold all the passing records but the less he accomplished the better. So with that said I just cant pull for indy as much as I hate the jets but go Sanchez!

As far as the NFC Im pulling for the old man and Minnesota. Despite ripping on the old man I mostly do it to piss of wess but I think hes still a great QB that's an obvious statement. He was making pass's last week that were just insane. I cant pull for the saints b/c it will be the hurricane Katrina disaster all over again and all about those who were to stupid to leave when they had the chance to. Its not like no one knew it was coming.

So Id like to see Minnesota VS Jets for the superbowl w/ the Vikings taking it.

Now, since they took away the damn ticker at the top for tornado stuff, the signal is getting scrambled, so it's coming in all jittery very often. Man, this sucks. I just hope it gets fixed by the time the Vikes play tonight, or this is going to be a sucky night!
