Hey Guys/Gals,

Fixing the dents is easy but what do I do about the texture? It appears to be factory undercoated with a rough looking texture, when I repair the dent, it will be smooth and not match.

What are my options here?

Thanks,

Scott

Go to an autobody supply store, ask for chip guard they have different textures available.Undercoating that is ok to paint over is also an option. you might have to apply several coats to get the thickness and texture you are looking for . In order to make it look uniform you will probably need to remove all the factory chip guard from that side and spray the entire rocker. Use a piece off cardboard to practice matching the factory texture.

Very good input guys, thanks! What ever the stuff is from the factory looks to be 1/4" thick! They were serious about rocks! Where the dent is, it is mainly a chip and the stuff OE used gone. I was going to pull the metal out until I realized it's not metal (high spots on left and right).
