Bolt on 93 Notch vs 06 GT possibly soon, what do you think will happen?

Oh and for the record, the 06 GT was a NO SHOW tonight. :( He always comes out, wont run, then goes to a local board and posts kill stories about some random ricer he ran into. Then says he will race, then doesnt come out at all.
That sucks, I was looking forward to the vid. Do you have any vids other vids of the fox in question? I remember the vid of it racing the LSwon from a roll, are there anymore vids I havent saw of this car?

Superchargers are held on with bolts
I dont think there are many parts we glue on to our cars. My turbo is held to a flange by 4 bolts and the flange is held up by the header bolts.:D

It's all good though, racing is racing...cant always be equal when doing so.:D :flag:

Yea, just do a search on my name, I have posted some other videos of the notch recently, running a HCI 93 Notch, an 03 GT, a 02 GT with a 50 Shot and a 97 GT n/a and on a 100 shot. :nice:

If a 4.6 rolled up with a Bullitt intake it would STILL BE A BOLTON. It's an INTAKE MANIFOLD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Heads arent a bolton, they never will be, lemme break it down real simple for you, headers, intakes, cai's, exhuast, timing adjusters, pulleys, tb's, all that bs are BOLTONS, mild performance BS. Blowers, nitrous, turbos, are POWER ADDERS. Explain how an intake manifold is getting INTO the engine?

If if a stock 5.0L rolled up with Gt40 heads...it would "STILL BE A BOLTON.":rlaugh: It's a set of heads for crying out loud. You bolt them on, it is a bolt-on;)

You see the lifters, oil pump (dist. removed)...you can see the cam and further... go replace an intake, you'll see:)

Good enough?

Your accusations about trying to set up another win for 5.0's under bias conditions? WTF! My life doesnt revolve around what some AFR headed 93 LX guy thinks on Stangnet LMAO!

Nope, but it does to the other 5.0L owners that think since they have 21 cubic inches on the 4.6L, that they win:hail2:

According to you, only stock ***** should race and NOBODY should ever mod their car? LMFAO AT THAT! Thats why this board catchs so much hell compared to the other boards, if it's not the "I broke up with my girlfriend" posts, it's this lame BS. You dont seem to be into racing, or like racing at all, thats my serious opinion on your attitude. You cut down ANYTHING that has to do with a 4.6 and a 5.0 and alot of people on this board are tired of hearing it, you are like a broken record with your false accusations and conspiracy theroys. Whatever you need to do to downplay the 5.0 because you have one and miss your 4.6, just man up, sell your car and GET A 4.6 so we dont have to hear your tired mantra. :nonono:

Nope, because according to my car, I'm not stock. I do not have any friends that are "bone stock"...we mod. Don't worry speeds, I know what your doing:p Most of us see it...

I just raced last night, yeah I'm not into it, you just caught me at the right time...good job:nice: Yeah, I got the cam because people see it on my engine...lol. My car is stickerless:)

I'm actually looking at getting a 98 here possibly soon...if all works out...but keeping the 5.0L. You'll still here the truth come out from me...

So what is my conspiracys? So what is my accusations? If your going to charge me...prove it.

what is the deal with racing from a roll anyhow? i dont understand what it proves.......anyway when i drove a stock 06 GT i was really not very impressed.....my 6000 car would blow the doors off of his 26000 car. it is simple economics to me....

Lol, you get much more than straightline performance for the price. You get everything new. Plus out handles, out performs, out brakes, out rides, out sounds (stereo), the older predicessor. It isn't just about straightline.

About the roll thing. It shows the potential. A roll is a much more likely race too...how many times do you get stopped with someone on the interstate on the interstate itself. Do you want them to stop with oncoming 70+mph traffic approaching? Just asking...

Car: 3500
Body & Paint: 3000
Stereo: 1000
Overall: 7500 < 26000
Building the Car Yourself: Priceless > 26000

Eh, running them from a stop proves nothing because if the Notch gets any more runs out of the bald nittos and it comes off the line half ass decent you are looking at an 8.4's car vs a slower 1/8 car. The roll race is sometimes something you can look at and NOT KNOW what is gonna happen. Nobody knows whats gonna happen with the notch and the 06 from a roll for sure.

as far as bolt ons go.. its all about wether you get to the point where you see the oil in the motor.. aka the lifter valley.. and dont go off saying valve covers must be a bolt on simply because you see the oil.. you get no performance gain what so ever

I HATE the new car vs old car crap when we start talking money. The new car is a new car with a warrenty, zero miles on every part, and all around better. Even an old car with a ton of aftermarket stuff on it still isnt a new car off a dealer showroom...

And this is coming from someone with an old car that this summer will be faster, stop better, and probably be nicer than a new one!

Depends on the condition of the car and model for the price.

So you are going to make it look like an 05? Act like an 05? Handle like an 05? Get gas mileage like an 05? Get "no squeeks" like an 05? Get the warranty like an 05? Get the smoothness of an 05? Reliability of an 05? Mileage of an 05 (new)? The list goes on...and on...and on...

The same ones talking about fixing up the 5.0L's now, will have their sons fixing up these 4.6L's later...and will be complaining about how horrible the 3.2L v6 that puts out 400rwhp in 10 years... Because the price difference...lol.

to answer you comments mr 5 spd GT......my car will hang with an 05 in most of those categories you mentioned.....i didn't list every single mod in my sig, however i have about 17k worth of reciepts for money someone else spent on my current car before i bought it....but i only paid 6 k for it....my gas mileage is pretty decent, def. comparable but i do run only 93 octane in my car....and if you could see or hear the stereo in mine, it makes the factory garbage they have in anything on the road sound like a wal mart special....i guess i got lucky......i bought my car from a middle aged guy who happened to have a surplus of vehicles, and didn't know anything about these cars.....so i got a car someone spent a boatload of money on getting pro installed work for about 1/3 of the money that was spent on it in the last 5 years......by the way, i would NEVER buy a brand new car....might as well flush money straight down the toilet....but if it makes anyone feel better, i do really like the way the new stangs look....ford did a really nice job with em! they better step it up tho, i really don't want to see them get out done in the near future!

one more thing, anyone who races on the interstate is an idiot.....good way to get yourself killed.......if you see enough fatal accident scenes, you would understand. it does not take any skill at all to race from a roll on the highway, so i dont think it proves anything any how

So you think racing from a stop is safer somehow? It takes more than you know to run from a roll, well not with a bolton notch and 06 GT LOL but there are plenty of cars that require some launch skill even from 40.

Yes racing on the street is dangerous but racing anywhere is dangerous also. Some people try to be safer than others.

no, actually i don't think anyone should be racing on the street anywhere at all, and yes i think racing from a roll on the interstate is waaaaaaaaaay more dangerous....common sense to me anyway.....

Some people dont race at all on the street, I have no problem with that.

Slowing down to a stop around here can get you run over, plus the Interstate has no places for people to turn off, a median to block things in the middle. Running from a stop to 120 MPH is alot longer race than 40-130 it is also.

i have seen enough people killed and or seriously hurt in wrecks resulting from this kind of stuff to come to the conclusion that it is really not very smart.....dying in a car accident is extremely messy and you really get a sense of the forces that are at work when you are dealing with hulks of metal screaming down the interstate at 100+ mph...... i have seen plenty of people shot and stabbed to death as well as in car accidents.....the accidents are by far the most disturbing, especially considering that they usuallt happen as a direct result of the stupidity of the driver.during the course of my job i have at times been required to be at the wheel of a vehicle screaming down the highway at 100+mph, and when it is all over with, i am usually pretty pissed off at the person who forced me into that situation....
