...Is addicting! :D I just bought my first supercharged car last weekend. It's an 89 Thunderbird Super Coupe. It has the beefed up 3.8L with an Eaton M90 blower, 5-speed, IRS, electronic suspension, and several other goodies. It needs a little work, mainly struts/shocks, but it should make a nice work car.

In case you guys didn't know, these cars were rated right around 215HP an 310TQ from the factory. It weighs in close to the 2-ton mark, 3600-3800#, so it's not the quickest car on the road, but it still moves pretty good. I try to keep my foot out of it for the most part(gas mileage :) ), so I generally see 5-7#, but I've seen up to 11# a time or two.

These cars respond fairly well to bolt ons, or so I hear. I figure exhaust and intake should give me a nice gain, then a 94-95 SC and/or pulley should reach around 15# and close to 300HP or more. But, modding is on a wait-and-see basis since the car has 137K on it and I'll be driving it every day.

BTW, my 2006 Mazda 3 is for sale. ;)

Nice pick-up Mike. Since your stang is beautiful and 'done', the birdie should be a fun car to mod and tinker with. :nice:

i almost bought one of those before i bought the jeep i have now. really nice cars, but i needed something with 4-wheel drive.

a friend of mine has one, a 67 coupe and a pinto. he wanted to take the engine out of the mustang (331 in it now) and get a dart 408, put the 331 in the t-bird, take the engine out of the t-bird and put that in the pinto.
