Alright,

I'm officially flipping my ****. Officially.

JR hooked me up big time this summer, did my side exhaust - looks badass.

I brought my car (and just got it back) from my auto body shop - real straight up guy, Excessive reccomended - did a SUPERB JOB.

So why am I flipping out you ask?

In order to have the SVO skirts installed, they had to be repainted and shaved a bit to fit right (fiberglass) - right now they look flush with the car and look awesome (no pics sorry)....

BUT THERE IS NO ROOM FOR THE SIDE EXHAUST TIPS TO GO OUT THE HOLES.

This is why I'm freaking out, as I just realized this **** when I got home - literally - the skirt comes right up to the body and there is no space for the tips to go through.

Now I have to bring her back on Monday, figure out what the hell went wrong, I'm assuming the skirts need to be fitted lower to the body but how *****ing low do they need to be? WTF man. I can't afford throwing money out for god damn rental cars any more, I'm already broke as hell from this job.

Any advice is welcome as I can't really bring the car back now, got to wait til' monday.

- Andrew

Oh and one more thing, if you're wondering why the tips weren't put on after the skirts were on, it's because Excessive was tweaking them and putting them back on Wed. My guy doesn't do exhaust.

They must have fitted them too high. Mine has about an inch of extra room for the tips to go thru the holes and not hit the body. did the shop that fitted them put them on the car to fit them with the exhaust on?

Rio and others, I'm looking at your guys pictures of your cars I have saved and I don't get it??? My skirts look EXACTLY at the same height as yours.

Do they need to cut into the body to make room for the tips? I'm lost here man.

Here are Rio's pics (sorry I'm using as reference) You can see where the tips go through - there's literally no space to get them in so that's where I'm lost.

I trimmed the pinch weld some on mine, just where the pipes need to go under the pinch weld. I trimmed about 3/4" off, then sanded it and painted it so it wouldn't rust, you might not need to trim exactly 3/4", just trim what you need to make it fit...I just trimmed 3/4" to avoid the exhaust bouncing up and hitting the pinch weld when I go over bumps.

Yeah he did fit them just had to take them off to do the work and I'm guessing he went too high.

Rio if you get a chance can you take some pics on the inside of the tips - like closeups so I can see what you're talking about?

Thanks.

this is the only pic I have, it sorta shows how everything clears. You can't really see the trimming I was talking about, but the pinch weld is trimmed right over top where the pipe goes under the pinch weld. Sorry I can't take any new pictures because the car is put away back at home 6 hours away for the winter while I'm at school. Maybe one of the other side exhaust guys on here can take a pic?
