Boss 429 hood scoops

Does anyone have any pics. of the fiberglass aftermarket Boss 429 scoops?
Im thinking about putting it on my '84 GT. I just need to know if it will look funny being too big for the car.

It is a pretty big scoop, 3-4 inches tall and 21 or 27 wide (I think). Why don't you get onoe off an 83 GT and reverse it on to your 84??

Yes, I tend to agree.. it is a very large scoop and may look out of proportion of a fox body car. You could try finding the size in a catalogue ( and use those dimensions to "mock it up" out of card board and see how it would look) Lot cheaper than installing one and finding you do not like it.

There were several scoops that were factory for the fox cars.. '82 gt had a forward facing scoop, and I believe it was either '83 or '84 that had a rearward facing "cowl" type scoop (or was it '85???). All were non functional.

When you get right down to it... all of those years hoods should interchange with yours.. You could probably get a scooped hood without drilling your stock unit.

yeah, thats def. the 429 scoop, i was looking at one for my coupe, but looking at that pic makes me gald i didnt get it, IMO it looks like crap hey go here for your scoop needs! www.up22.com this is where i got my scoop from and they have lots and lots of choices!

Man, that m & m scoop looks HUGE! I may be better off seeking out an '82 scoop or something, but everytime I try to buy just the scoop, they try to sell me the whole hood, and Im not payin' 150 big ones for the scoop.
