OK, some of you know I got a 98 last week. Right now power wise, it has exhaust (no headers) and a filter...whoo hoo.

I am wanting low low 13's or high 12's and around 290-300 rwhp.

Would 4.30's get me there? What do you recommend?

I plan on getting pullies and a cold air kit. Do I need a TB and MAF?

I raced my girlfriends brother's auto C5....he won't run me in my 89. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He got me by about 3 cars to 100...it was all down low too. But I have stock gears. His car is easily putting down 295-300.

Will what I listed get me there? I know all in the world about 5.0's and how they respond to mods. I am new to the DOHC land. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Longtubes, midpipe, 4.30 + gears, sticky tires.

Steeda or ASP pullies only.

Do NOT buy an aftermarket TB.

Search previous threads as this topic has been covered at least a dozen times, in detail, by myself and a lot of the other posters.

Hey to a fellow Okie with a cobra, just got mine about two months ago and I'm loving it.

I'd follow his advice. Gears really wake these cars up, add in long tubes and the ever important need of traction and you're set. I rode in a 98 with 4:30's and longtubes and it felt like a completely different car.
