Just got my engine back, stock bottom end from a 92 5.0 with intake from an explorer and 3 bar gt40 heads. It’s going in a bone stock 92 fox. I’m being told I need different brackets for the power steering and AC. Do the stock brackets bolt up fine? Or do I need different brackets? If so which brackets.

Thanks in advance

Ummmm…that is BS. The 3 bars GT40 heads came stock on 93 Cobras and they used the same brackets as the 86-93 5.0 Mustangs.

That’s what I originally thought. Maybe because they’re heads from an explorer I was told they wouldn’t bolt up.

So to be clear I will be fine bolting up the stock bracket and pumps and using a stock length belt?

If anything, the might be missing the thread reducers know as Thermactor plugs but there cheap and easy to replace... If the stock hardware threads in your fine. If its way to small you need to buy a pair of em..

Yes the stock brackets fit. You have the exact set up I am running on my 90 GT - 3 bar Explorer heads, EGR Explorer upper and lower, AC and PS

I think they will bolt up to your block/heads but I don't think the explorer brackets will work in a mustang..
There was no way the brackets my junk yard Mountaineer engine with " p " heads would fit in my 83 mustang. All of my stock 83 accessory brackets did bolt up to the 98 block/GT40P heads....
