Ihave a 1992 mustang gt and last nght I had to take off my brake booster line last night and the plastic piece that goe in to the brake booster box has a rubber gromit on it well when i was putting it back in the rubber gromit fell in side the brake booster box and now i dont have a gromit i have 2 question will that cause a problem if i just leave the gromit in the brake booster box or do i need to get it out? and i have called all over and everyone said that the dont make a gromit for it that i would have to buy a whole new brake booster and that seems a littel dumb to spend 200 bucks for a damn piece of rubber so what can i do to solve my littel problem here or does anyone know where you can get a gromit to fit that damn hole so it wont leak air so i can have my breaks back

They make an assorted variety of grommets, so that shouldn't be a problem, try an autobody supply shop. As far as the one in the brake booster goes it shoudn't hurt anything... until it dries up and gets sucked into your engine.

The booster is just a huge diaphram. If something is inside it it would only get squashed. Depending on how durable the diaphram is, it would really affect it I would think. If worse comes to worse, you can always remove it and shake it around till it comes out. But taking those things out really suck.
