I'm in the middle of swapping my automatic tranny for a Keisler T45R. I got my hands on a 1970 clutch & brake pedal so I refurbished it and installed it. This setup has the clutch and brake pedal on the same rod. My original one had the long brake pedal that mounts where the J-mount for the spring mounts for the manual tranny systems.
The problem is my brake booster rod doesn't reach the brake pedal. I assume the pedal is for a manual brake setup? (What gives?)
All the auto parts stores list one brake booster for manual and auto tranny's so if that's then case i'm confused...
If my clutch/brake assy came off a manual 1970 Mustang, why isn't there a brake booster that fits it?
If all else fails, i'll mount my old brake pedal in the refurbished piece. That would blow....big time.
