Hey,
I was wondering if I could see a picture of the rear axle brake lines on a 66' dual exhaust. Im not sure how the factory lines go, and I'm going to be bending my own and I would like to make them look close to original. (The only reason I'm bending my own and not buying prebent lines is because I have access to line a buddy of mine had left over)

Thanks,
Chad

You may find bending your own lines a challange, but can be done. THere should be a bracket spot welded to the back of the left rear foorpan. THe bracket holds the rubber line from thebottom and the hard line comes in on top of it. For dual exh, the bracket needs to be removed and relocated closer to the left rear wheel. There "should" be two perpendicular stamped lines in the pan where it goes. Should be maybe 2-3 inches from the inner wheelwell. Then you will need a rubber line for a dual exhaust car. It mounts to the bracket and to the rear end housing. un your lines from the rear wheel cylinders to the part that mounts to the rear end housing. Bend as needed. The bracket relocation and the correct rubber line (flexable brake line) are needed for clearance for the dual exhaust. Someone will post a picture I'm sure.

I bought straight lengths fromthe parts store with the ends already on them. I can't remember the lengths though. I was mating them to the Russell stainless steel braided line which has the "T" built into the end. I made the steel bracket that is secured to the axle by the vent tube adapter. The original brass hose end had a bracket as part of it.

The aluminum and mild steel lines are not too hard to bend, but if you are planning on stainless get them pre-bent.

I can't find the stamped lines on mine. Basically weld it 2-3 inches from wheel well then? Anybody got a close up pick of that?
