about 4 months ago i fixed my brakes. changed out the pads, resurfaced the rotors, etc. the only thing i didnt do was bleed the brakes. so i was changing out the ball joints today and i noticed the pads on both sides are wearing out in a strange way. as youre looking at the front side of the pad only the left side and top side are worn out along the edges. also i noticed that my front tires are worn out on the inside pretty bad. i know that they werent like that 4 months ago. anyone know what could be the cause and if my tire problem is brake related?

the tire problem is excessive negative camber(tires tilted inward). the brake problem could be a seized caliper, i would have to see a pic to understand it better, sorry im a visual person.

When you replaced the pads, did you use high temp grease on the caliper bolts and outer edges of the brake pads (half moons) that contact the caliper? The lack of this could be a reason...or brand of pads. If you still have Goodyears, they age quickly, once aged the tread virtually disappears...

no i didnt use the hi temp grease. the pads are raybestos. my tires are zr rated toyos. had'em about a year and a half already. as for my camber problem, how do i fix it? ive heard of it before and sagging springs were mentioned. could this be a problem also? and the brake pad pic, well imagine this pic below is a brake pad. the -'s represent the worn out portion. sorry i know this is a pretty ghetto way to explain but im not very computer literate as i have no idea how to post an actual picture. any help is appreciated. thanks.

the camber issue take to an alignment shop and have them do an alignment for you.

Say no more about the brake pads...It's most likely the pads...Some people have had minimal success with Raybestos, I can tell you that they are crappy pads...period. My experience with them (only because I have a friend who works at Advance Auto, got them at a discount price) : had the inkling to replace my brakes on my Ford Ranger and Villager van...Ranger = 8000 miles and they started sqealing and rumbling, checked them out, craked braked material, uneven wear. Van = wore out at 6000 miles, heavy brake dust, poor performance. Solution, bought Hawk HPS pads for both since I've had GREAT success with them on my Mustang. Good Luck, Raybestos are junk...

On your next replacement, grease the caliper mounting bolts and contact points on the outer edge of the brake pad casings (that contact the cage)
