Brake problems

Woot! Got home and the brake fluid was still in the resivoir, no puddles either. Gonna bleed the brakes tomorrow morning and replace the rr caliper if needed and hope she brakes properly! Wish me luck guys!

Hmm just drove the car to my dads the rotors all hot (due to braking?) except one why would that be??

They should be hot immediately after a trip. But the heat should go away after about 10 to 15 minutes of cooling off. If one is still hot after this period that particular caliper is dragging. If a caliper is cool to the touch immediately after a trip, there is something wrong with the caliper itself.

If a caliper is dragging, that is because the slide pins are not functioning properly inside the bracket. Buy a new bracket and slide pins and reinstall onto caliper.

Well we tool it all off and put it back on, bled the system according to above steps and it looks like they're back. Only issue now is that there is a slight squeal from them when driving.

Did you put the anti-rattle clips in and grease the back of the pads when re-installing?

It appears that there in a ring being ground into the outside of my rotor... whats causing this?

The ring is a portion of the rotor that the pads don't touch, that's normal. You need to take your car to a mechanic and have him go through the entire brake system. It sounds like you and your buddy didn't know what you were doing and the brake system is pretty important

I agree with the above post. If you have done EVERYTHING everyone has said and it is still not right. Get it looked at by a professional.

The only thing that's causing a "problem" is the ring I didn't know what it was. The brakes are working fine. I didn't finish them I got my dad to help me.

The squeal was referring to my ball joint going out..

Those don't look new rotors. If they aren't new then it looks to me like they weren't turned or if they were turned the guy didn't let the cutter run all the way off the rotor. Some don't and leave a lip.
