So I'm done researching my options for my sn-95 brake swap and things are getting costly in a hurry. I cant see getting everything for less than 1500$ including the new wheels I'll need after the swap. When the unforeseen miscellaneous costs pop up I'm sure this project will end up running me nearly 2k.

For me I'm planning a swap using 94-95 spindles, rotors/hubs, 99+ pbr calipers, stock 94-95 rear set up with fox length axles and north race brackets. 94-95 mc and booster w/ summitt adj prop valve. I was originally going to go with the 13" fronts but I figure I'll save a little money and can always swap it later. Also, I have an auburn rear so I need to re-buy my moser 31 splines for auburn in 5 lug (have the same in 4 lug now) so thats adding nearly 300 to my cost.

So it leads me to ask those of you that have already done the swap.. what did it cost you??

Just under $800 not including wheels for a no-frills Cobra 13" front setup 11.25" rear setup.

Then i started adding on goodies like SS braided lines and bling bling rotors and it went a little higher than that.

I recooped some by selling my stock brakes and axles and drums..but only about $100 or so

Where did you acquire your cobra setup?

I peiced it togethed over the course of a year. I just waited til i got deals on everything. I got the MC and booster for $30, rear calipers for $25, front calipers for $100, spindles for $75, rear SN95 axles for free. I would just shop around til i found a nice deal. I ended up trading my 91-93 pony wheels for a set of 97 cobra wheels.

Now that i'm redoing my entire car, i've upgraded a lot of parts though like SS lines, new rotors, new calipers, etc...stuff not needed but i wanted to do.

I am at 1500 right now and still need a few things but i have all new parts except spindles.
Ne 10th anv cobra front and rear calipers. new backing plates. Had the spindles powder
coated. new hubs and bearings. braided caliper hose's. and i am using 10th anv cobra wheels
witch are not included in the 1500 bucks cause i have 600 bucks in those and they are brand new and i need tires to. So all and all i will have over 2grand in mine. But i couldnt put dirty old parts on a 14000 mile car.

2k. I made my life easy. I just went out and bought the M2300-k brake kit lol. Screw getting used parts and trying to ship every single one of them individually:notnice: With the kit you got all the instructions and everything nut, bolt, zip ties, correct fittings, EVERYTHING you need. Sure its spendy. But you can't buy all those parts seperate and new price for that much. If i did it again. I'd buy Baer's version of the M2300-k brake kit though. FYI You sure can't beat having new parts instead of having to clean/paint old parts and go looking for everything.

Edit: I think nowadays the kit is like 2500.00. Either way, i'd buy it again without even thinking.

I thought you were the one who swore by stock-style rotors?

I do...and still do for performance style driving. However I picked up a set of cross-drilled rotors for my daily street driving as i'm trying to go for a slightly showy setup.

But when I autoX, i have Brembo solid rotors for all 4 corners....that's all I would run if i was gonna push my car hard.

Haha, ok. Just so you know, I'm planning on auto-x'ing my car, and I'm running stock-style Brembos at all corners because you convinced me in a different thread before... So you better be right. :p
