Well, as some of you know I have had the worst time bleeding my brakes after my 5 lug conversion. today for the first time I took it for a ride around the block and the brakes work perfectly.

The problem I was having was I would turn my car on and sit in the garage and step on the pedal. I would pump it a few times then start pushing hard and the pedal would eventual bottom out. Well I decided I would take it on the street and see what happened. The pedal never bottomed out. The car stopped way before the pedal came close to bottoming out and when I slammed on it the brakes locked up nicely. This is all just around the block kinda stuff because I need to get it aligned before I do any freeway testing.

Special thanks to Shakerhood, you hung in there with me and all my fustrations.

oops 255/45/17 sorry bout that I did have 255/40/17 but they looked weird with the 45's up front. for some reason it looks like the rear is way high in that picture. I don't know why.

edit:fixed

haha, Bout all I can do since it doesn't go that fast right now. Holley systemax will be here next year with an explorer intake as well as a 65 tb. I need to talk to tmoss about polishing the intake though. He said it didn't need to be done with thumpers but I don't know with these heads.

Dude I am thrilled to hear that your car is all better now, it kinda helps put the frustrations behind you when you get to the end result!

did you have to replace the brake booster and the master cylinder or were you able to use the 4 cyl parts?

I had an 89 gt I bought for $800 that I later found out had a bad title and couldn't register it (no wonder so cheap huh?) So I just swapped everything into a 4cyl LX I bought for $200. Both cars were completely stripped and them reassembled.

now I have a 93 cobra booster with a sn95 m/c. works well. The brakes were pretty much done a week ago after I bled it for the 100th time. I just never took it out to test it. I just decided to take it out on the road and the brakes are perfect. I love it. Now I am just looking for some C/C plates so I can get it aligned. I found some steedas for $149 and some MM's for $169. can anyone justify the extra $20??? if not then I will just go with steedas. It si a street car so I won't be readjusting it but if MM's are that much better then I will snag a set.
