Brakes.. HELP :)

Hey

I replaced the rear brakes with slotted rotors new calipers and new pads this morning, upon putting them back on my buddy who was working on the other side of the car for some ODD reason removed the Spring that hold the parking brake cable guide in place. I for the life of me can not move this spring back into place... and surely don't want to drive it that way.. especially since it isnt even tagged yet and I need it to pass inspection..

How can I press the spring back into place? I looked and he basically took the bolt that holds it in place out so he could tighten up the rear caliper bolt as the brake like and this spring was in his way.. Oddly I had no problem on the other side..

If need tools I don't mind running to Sears if someone responds before they close today

Yeah it is released.. it has been the entire time.. originally this was just suppose to be a pad and rotor swap.. now its starting to be a PIA..heh

So common sense saved me.

For you situation... just try moving it and contorting with pliers it to line it up and shove the bolt in ASAP

Yeah, I got out my Old Brake plyers for drum breaks.. Worked great and got it on.. only one problem I tightened the bolt in and it freaking snapped off below the opening.. so now the spring isnt on and I have a broken bolt.. Anyone know if Home Depot carries Left handed Drill bits?

OK here is one.. If I cant get the spring back on, if I buy new calipers can I buy new ones and do these springs come on the new Calipers? cause at this point I am definately not above buying new calipers (could always use new ones anyway) to resolve this
