if u can get the old rotors off you can have them cross drilled. or if your replacing them get cross drilled. it will increase stopping power.

um no. crossdrilling of rotors can induce cracks in the rotor inbetween the holes. have seen numerous crossdrilled rotors crack and blow apart on a road course.

they were designed when pads werent as good as they are now. like slots they help exacuate gasses that were produced under the heat the brakes made. newer pads do not do this. also most of hte higher quality rotors that are "crossdrilled" have the holes cast into them, or if they are drilled, are drilled with a CNC machine. a lot of performance rotors now are dimpled. plus if you look at real race cars, they mostly use blank, ceramic (rotors and pads) and carbon pad/rotor combos. they take the increased heat a lot better.

the last thing you need on a 5000+lb car is less surface on the rotor for the pad to contact. the brakes are already overworked as it is. if the owner so chose they could see if a Brembo gran turisimo type kit is offered. it would have oversized rotors and 4 or 6 piston calipers, some kits have up to 12 piston calipers with 15 or 16" 2 piece rotors.
