brakes question

When I push my brakes in when stopped there is this squeaking sound like a rusty spring or something being strecthed. It is not the brakes I just replaced them. Do you think I need to bleed the brakes? Or is there anything else you think it could be?

I know that everyone suggests to bleed the brakes after changing the pads. Also, I hear that bleeding the master cylinder is a good way to go as well. However, I'm not sure if the "squeaking" noise could be fixed my bleeding the brakes. It sounds like something mechanical. However, I know that my brake pedal makes a little squeaking noise when pushed in, but nothing serious.

a squeaking sound ould not come from a bleeding issue. it would be somethine rubbing against something else. i would take the brakes back apart and check everything out and make sure nothing is rubbing.

Did you reinstall the anti-rattle clips? If not that will cause a noise like that.

Where is the sound coming form is it the back are the front?

I wonder if the problem I'm having is the same thing. When I push the pedal it feels kind of rough and makes what sounds like a squeezing noise and I can also hear a similar noise coming from the brakes if I push it when I'm stopped. What is this?

Did you put anti seize on any place where there would be metal to metal contact like caliper to caliper bracket?

it sounds like it might be coming from the pedal itself. I need to get someone to push on them and let me listen by the brakes. Everytime i have someone around it doesnt make the noise though. It made the noise before i did the brakes so i thought it might be the brakes so i replaced them. yea i did put anti seize on it too. maybe this is just a reason to buy some bigger better brakes.
