Brakes/Warranty question

sorry should have stated this better, Im changing the pads/rotors myself, not bringing the car into Ford. I just wanted to see before I did this If anyone had the dealer give them any problems becuase they were done outside of ford service. I dont want to have warranty problems should a problem arise and I need to have warranty work done later on.

only thing it would void concearning the warranty is any part thats related to the pad. like if you installed the pads incorrectly and then brought it in trying to get them to replace the rotors or something.

so if your motor blows up they cant say your brake pads caused it and void your warranty

Brake parts are warrantieds, but only to a low milage...like 10,000 miles or something like that.

If you change your brake stuff youself, it won't void the total warranty.

No one can tell you where to get brakes done. Most dealerships dont cover it after 12/12000 except Subaru we are 3/36000 for any adjustments.

However, if you have aftermarket brakes i.e hawk pads, Eradispeed rotors, or Baer calipers or whatever, and have a brake failure or issue, then they can deny that warranty claim if they can prove that aftermarket brakes caused it.

Just having mods wont deny a warranty claim unless the dealership want to be dicks or it is directly the cause.
