Ok experts I have a 69, standard discs in front drums in rear. All new lines, master cylinder, and wheel brake parts including powerbrake booster. Master cylinder bled on bench. Brakes bled at each weel untill I had what I thought was about a full pedel, this was with out the car running. Started the car up hooked vacum to the power brake booster and pedel went to the floor no brakes and they will not pump up. Turn car off and pedel returns to about where it was with no power. Is it necessary to bleed with the power brakes:shrug booster working.

Is there a hissing or whooshing sound when you press the pedal to the floor with the booster hooked up? if so you may have a bad booster, i know you said its new, but it happens. Also test your check valve on the booster, it may be bad.

My '84 was off when I bled the brakes and I had no problems.

Did you adjust the actual brake shoes? If the adjuster is all the way in, you would not have very good brakes.
