I recently installed a A/F Guage and when i started up my car and took it for a spin.. My Voltmeter wasnt even going up and down.. All the wires are the same when it was working.. The battery is a OPTIMA CELL RED, so even when i revv the voltage doesnt move @ all...

Is my alternator toast? And i lost the damm receipt!!

What do you guys think?

No that cant bethe issue cuz the car died on me on the freeway, the battery completly died and autozone replaced the battery.... But i installed my stock alternator back on and still the same issue the voltage doesnt go up and down..

Im picking up a new 140AMP POwermaster tomorrow and see if things work out since its a ONE wire alternator -

Which electrical connector or wire can cause this mess?

I don't remember which wire it is, but there is a wire that essentially turns on the alternator. Maybe it is bad, so the alternator is not charging. I had that happen once. The wire became disconnected behind the dash, so my alternator stopped charging. It would test fine, just not charge. So, try looking for that wire.
Check out tmoss' info site. It has the wiring diagram you need.
