I need some cash asap....asap. think, now think!!! how much they getting for kidney these days?

When i see something like that, i just wanna get in it and pound the gears and pop that cherry!!! I bet that car is so depressed....it's like a thoroughbred race horse that lives his whole life in the stables :nonono:

Yeah, I hate seeing that too.
If it was mine and I bought it new would have atleast 100k on it and have mods done to it.
I couldnt spend $20k or whatever it was new and not drive it at all.

I think you guys are missing the point. If it weren't for someone storing it it's entire life, there would be no "new" '93 Cobra's today in 2007. Now, I personally wouldn't have the patience to store it like that, but I would really like to see that car in person now because you're not going to get many more chances to see a '93 Cobra in that condition.

That what I'm saying. I know what the others are saying but I to would love to see this thing up close. probally on of the last chances one would get to see what a 93 cobra looked like from the factory untouched by an owner. like I said time capsule, it needs to be documented, pics taken, taken on a tour for us to see and then driven by someone who has some sense and taken care of. it does need to be driven but not a ton of miles just enough but mods wtf, no way she very well could be the queen of the 93 regular production cobras someday, the last of the last, you have to preserve and respect that. it's kinda like mustang law or something :D .

Basically that car is junk to drive.
Im sure every seal and rubber line is dryrotted from sitting without lubrication and use.
If not once its driven a bit leaks will happen and hoses will blow.

My grandmother has a '93 Plymouth that only has 33k and she's had to replace alot of rubber parts because they dryrotted and/or leaked, including fuel lines.

it was in a collection, if it was started and run i'm sure it will be okay. more important in climate control, since it was in a museum almost all use some type of system to control humidity which does an amazing job. think about collectors and other museums holding rarer cars. once it gets out of that enviroment that will be different story. it would be fun to drive it though, she must be has tight as a virgin :D .

See while i do understand your point and to a point i can agree with it, and i do respect it and i would LOVE to see something like that in person, the evil side of me still says mash the gas and don't let up. I guess there will always be plenty of other cars out there that can get beaten on and it's important to preserve some for the long haul...but still that evil side just says F'it you can't take it with you and neither the car nor you will be around forever so beat it for all it's worth while you've got the chance to.

You never know, that car might be stored somewhere and the whole place could burn to the ground, and then what?

I hope they changed the oil and gas from time to time. If not, that thing is going to break down on the drive home.

Yeah i know a guy who's the original owner of a '70 Challenger....it's got it all, the Hemi, plumb crazy paint....it's not quite as factory fresh as this Cobra but it's been in the garage pretty much its whole life. Cars like these NEED to be beat on once in a while to keep things fresh and opened up, and since the Challenger never gets that (the guy is terrified of it and i bet you my coupe would give it a run for its money) it runs like total crap, yet i bet it doesn't have 30k miles on it.

LOL. I hear ya, but you must be strong don't go to the dark side don't go!!

I have about 33,000 miles on my svt, most of it when it was new. so at 7 years old that's a little over 4,000 miles a year right now.last 3-4 years don't put much miles on her. she is stored, taken care of, but I do run her and have fun just don't take alot of chances. it stil is factory fresh and doesn't have any issues, leather is still soft and all the hoses are good, rubber is fine. I look at this way yes I can't take it with me ( I will pass it on to my sons along wit the stang) but it is the last year of the model and only 207 made in this color, so to me it cannot be replaced. i know of atleast 10+ sofar my same year and color that have been wrecked or totally modded beyond being going back to stock and I'm sure there is more, so it means something, to me atleast. 10 more years people wont even now what it is, heck at car shows they don't even know they think it's an sho  .

You guys are correct about a car sitting to long being worse than just driving it, the other toy car that I own that sits next to the mustang in the garage is a 1992 z28, and yeah on a quiet night you can hear them fighting. I purchased the Z28 about 13 years ago as a daily driver with 30k miles on it and proceeded to add 6k more in the first six months and now it currently has 40k miles on it. so in the last 12 1/2 years it has gone about 4k miles and only about 15 miles in the past three years. It is to the point where yeah the car looks great but I have had clogged injectors, sensors corode up, basically just stupid things mechanically go wrong with it just because it sits.
Oh well some day it will get woken up and abused like a zipper on prom night.

The thing sold CHEAP!

Though I realize it's a very rare find, I don't think that I could leave it alone. I'd have to install a turbo on it. That's about as far as I'd be able to go with leaving it bone stock.

The turbo would only make that car what it was originally intended to be IMO.
