Brass fitting for auto trans lines?

I want to run braided steel lines for cooling the transmission fluid in a 2001 GT Auto.

I know the stock steel lines are 5/16" diameter tubing. I just don't know what the fitting is that will fit into the tranny?

I am thinking that it's 1/2" NPT Am I correct?

The TCI site tecnical info says the thread is 1/4" npt

I also double checked it with them over the phone and they confirmed it.
