My 2001 Mustang GT fails to send error code when i get an ABS trouble light.

my ABS trouble light comes on after about 10 to 15 min. driving.

When the error occurs and i try to scan, i get an error telling me to check the connection. then there is no error when i scan after the trouble light clears.

i am using the Actron CP9449 BreakScan tool and i had the same problem with another brand i tried and returned.

any ideas?
