broke the plastic tip on one of the fuel injectors..

I was doing an intake swap and one of the injectors flipped out onto the intake manifold and broke the plastic yellow tip. The injector still functions fine, but will the spray pattern be messed up enough by this to warrant finding a used injector from stangparts.com or just run it?

Run it shouldn't be a problem to really notice anything. Why by used if your going to replace an injector your better of buying new. Why take the risk of buying junk.

You can get those cpas at any parts store. Just ask for an injector rebuild kit. They are about $2.

I had this same thing happen two weeks ago and I freaked. I then found out that the rebuild kit has a new cap, 2 new orings and the plastic washer/spacer. For $20 you can replace all the caps and orings (recommended anyhow). Turns out for me it was a good thing that it fell out, oring was ripped and I would have never known unless I pulled the injector from the rail.

FYI, it is called a pintle cap. Borg Warner is one of the easier kits to find.
